IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) Course
What is IASTM?
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a therapeutic technique that uses specialized tools to detect and treat soft tissue restrictions, scar tissue, and fascial adhesions. By applying controlled pressure with an IASTM tool, the therapist can break down fascial restrictions and muscular adhesions, which promotes tissue healing and restores mobility. This technique improves the identification of trigger points, enhances vibration sensitivity, and can lead to improved tissue flexibility and reduced pain over time. IASTM is a highly effective method to address muscular restrictions and fascial stiffness, with noticeable improvements typically seen within 4-6 weeks of treatment with a consistent plan.
Benefits for the Client:
- Reduces scar tissue and fascial restrictions
- Improves range of motion and flexibility
- Eases muscular trigger points
- Promotes tissue healing and regeneration
- Enhances circulation to treated areas
- Reduces pain and discomfort associated with soft tissue injuries
- Improves mobility and function
- Aids in reducing chronic pain and muscle stiffness
Benefits for the Practitioner:
- Saves hands and reduces physical strain
- Increases sensitivity for vibration techniques
- Improves identification and treatment of trigger points
- Allows for more precise, targeted therapy
- Expands skill set and expertise in soft tissue techniques
- Reduces fatigue by minimizing manual effort
- Enables deeper, more effective soft tissue mobilization
- Enhances treatment efficacy and client satisfaction
Combining IASTM with other modalities enhances overall treatment effectiveness by targeting deeper muscle and fascial layers. It promotes healing, reduces restrictions, and improves tissue mobility, resulting in improved function and reduced pain. This technique allows the practitioner to apply controlled, specific pressure with tools to break down adhesions and scar tissue, promoting long-term recovery.

Indie Head Massage & Acupressure facial
What is Indie Head Massage?
Originating in India and rooted in Ayurvedic medicine, the Indie Head Massage focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders, with special attention given to the hair and scalp. This treatment typically lasts between 45 to 90 minutes. Warm coconut oil is used to stimulate the scalp and relieve tension in the neck and shoulders. The massage includes techniques such as gentle tugging, twisting, and pressure to enhance relaxation. Coconut oil may be applied to the roots or throughout the hair for additional nourishment and calming effects.
What is an Acupressure Facial?
An Acupressure Facial is a natural treatment that combines facial massage with traditional Chinese acupressure techniques. By applying gentle pressure to specific points on the face, neck, and shoulders, it stimulates circulation, promotes relaxation, and encourages lymphatic drainage. This non-invasive treatment helps reduce puffiness, improve skin tone and texture, relieve tension, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, resulting in a more radiant and youthful complexion.
Benefits for the Client:
- Relieves tension and stress in the head, neck, and shoulders
- Improves scalp health and nourishes hair follicles

- Boosts circulation to the scalp and upper body
- Aids in detoxification by stimulating lymphatic drainage
Benefits for the Practitioner:
- Involves low physical strain
- Expands skill set through varied techniques
- Allows creative freedom in tailoring treatments to individual needs
Combining Indian Head Massage with Facial Acupressure enhances relaxation and rejuvenation by targeting tension in the scalp, neck, and shoulders while stimulating key acupressure points on the face to improve circulation, reduce stress, and promote a glowing complexion.
